The latest poster for the much-awaited Malayalam-Tamil film ‘Ananthan Kaadu’ is here, and it features none other than Vijayaraghavan in a strong, no-nonsense political look. Coming shortly after his National Film Award win for ‘Pookkaalam’, the poster has also been shared as a warm gesture from the film’s team to celebrate the veteran actor’s big achievement.

Political drama with a pan-Indian flavour

‘Ananthan Kaadu’ is written by well-known Malayalam screenwriter Murali Gopy and directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar, who earlier teamed up with Murali for the big-scale film ‘Tiyaan’. This time, the story unfolds in Thiruvananthapuram, but the project is reaching far and wide, being made in both Malayalam and Tamil as a pan-Indian film.

The film stars Arya in the lead role, with a cast packed with popular names from different film industries. The first teaser had already got people talking online, and the first poster had left fans curious. With this new look, the makers are building up more interest in what promises to be a gripping and layered story.

Music and crew

The music is composed by B. Ajaneesh Loknath, who is known for his work in Kantara, Mangalavaaram, and Maharaja. With his name attached, expectations around the soundtrack are naturally high. This marks another collaboration between Murali Gopy and Jiyen Krishnakumar, following their earlier success with ‘Tiyaan’.

The film is being backed by S Vinod Kumar under the Mini Studio banner, which is taking on its 14th production after the commercial hit Mark Antony
