‘Monster’ handles a fresh concept in Mollywood, says Mohanlal

As Malayalam movie fans await the release of the much-anticipated Mohanlal-starrer ‘Monster’, the actor shared a video on social media expressing his happiness. The movie, directed by Vysakh, is the duo’s first film since the success of ‘Pulimurugan’, Mollywood’s first movie to reportedly cross Rs 100-crore collection.

In a video posted on Facebook, Mohanlal said that ‘Monster’ has a lot of features and that he was really happy about being a part of the movie.

He said that it is a special movie for him. There are a lot of surprise elements in the movie, Mohanlal said. According to the actor, the most special element is the concept itself. He added that this might be the first time that such a concept is being boldly told in Malayalam cinema.

The script, by Udaykrishna, is the hero of the movie, Mohanlal said. Actors very rarely get opportunities to be a part of such a movie, and I am happy that I got a chance, he said.

The movie will be released worldwide on October 21. Lakshmi Manchu, Lena, Honey Rose, Sudev Nair, Siddique and KB Ganesh Kumar are also a part of the movie.
