B Jeyamohan is a noted writer of contemporary Malayalam-Tamil literature. He has written more than 120 books in Tamil. It includes novels, stories, plays, literary criticisms, Vedantha, history, culture, politics, biographies and children’s literature. He was born at Kanyakumari District of Tamil Nadu. His mother tongue is Malayalam.
He entered the Tamil literary filed in the 90s by making his mark in the post-modern literature. His critically acclaimed work Vishnupuram, is a quest through various schools of Indian philosophy and mythology. Influences of Leo Tolstoy and Gandhiji are evident in his works. Kotravai, the re-narration of the Kannagi epic, is regarded as his best-ever work. In 2014, Jeyamohan began writing Venmurasu, a re-narration of the Indian epic Mahabharata.
