How to reach Idukki?

Tourists can reach Idukki via rail by accessing Kottayam and Changanassery railway stations, or else they can access the district via air from Kochi International Airport. The road distance from Kochi airport to Idukki is 104 km. By road, Idukki is accessible via NH-49.

Meesapulimala, one of the popular trekking spots in Kerala, is an ideal destination to make an adventurous trip. This alluring destination is the second-highest peak in the Western Ghats. The destination, which offers an 8-kilometer trek from Rhodo Valley, takes you through stunning rainforests and grasslands. The trail begins steeply and leads through beautiful landscapes, eventually reaching the peak of the eight hills.

Ramakkalmedu, a peak with spectacular sights of the Western Ghats, offers panoramic views of the villages in the neighboring state of Tamik Nadu. Accessible from Munnar, Ernakulam, and Kottayam, it's a perfect weekend destination.
