The beautification project at Marina Beach, titled ‘Beyond Beypore,’ has entered its final phase, with an estimated budget of Rs 10 crores. Reports indicate that an additional project worth Rs 15 crores is also in the pipeline.

Oceanus Chaliyam

A trip to Beypore is incomplete without a visit to Chaliyam Beach. Mini kiosks have been set up along the shoreline, and safety measures have been appropriately implemented. The beach features beautiful lighting and comfortable seating arrangements.

Junkar Service

The junkar service connecting Beypore and Chaliyam is a key part of Beypore tourism. These vessels not only provide transport for tourists but also allow vehicles to be ferried, offering visitors stunning sea views.

Kadalundi Community Reserve

The Kadalundi Mangrove Forest is another major tourist attraction. From a distance, it resembles a green fortress amidst the waters. Boat rides in the area are available for Rs 100. The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, often frequented by migratory birds, is also worth a visit.

Chaliyam Lighthouse

The Chaliyam Lighthouse evokes nostalgia with its fascinating tales of the sea. It is open to tourists from 4 PM, with tickets priced at Rs 20, providing a memorable evening experience.

Feroke Bridge

The illuminated Feroke Bridge is sure to excite visitors. Dating back to 1888, it was opened for public transport by the British. Nearby, the ‘Nammal’ Park offers entertainment for children. Other must-visit places include the Itty Achuthan Memorial, ‘Hortus Malabaricus Sasya Sarvaswam,’ the Tasara weaving center, and Uru manufacturing centers.
