In her latest Instagram video, Sara offered a step-by-step guide to making the vibrant green drink, describing it as tasting “like a hug from a Japanese café.” The post has already garnered thousands of likes, with fans praising both the recipe and its glowing results.
“Can we talk about how you can sip your skincare, fuel your muscles, all in one matcha cup?” she says in the video, highlighting the smoothie’s dual benefit of supporting both beauty and fitness.
Sara's Matcha Protein Smoothie: What’s in it?
To make the smoothie, Sara starts by blending:
A few dates
1 scoop of vanilla protein powder
1 scoop of collagen peptides
1 teaspoon of matcha powder
1 cup of unsweetened almond milk
1–2 tablespoons of unsweetened almond butter
Once blended to a creamy consistency, the mixture is poured over ice and served cold.
According to Sara, the smoothie contains around 35 grams of protein and is packed with antioxidants, offering a sustained energy boost without the jittery crash of coffee. “It gives you steady energy without the crash,” she explained.
Sara even invited her friend Sanya to try the drink on camera. Her verdict? “It’s really good!” she said, giving it a clear thumbs-up as the two shared a light-hearted moment sipping the green concoction together.
