Nita Ambani kept it simple at NMACC, but her Guttapusalu necklace is impossible to miss

Nita Ambani brought understated elegance to the announcement of NMACC’s newest cultural offering, ‘The Library’, choosing a classic cream silk saree and traditional jewellery for the occasion.
A new chapter is set to unfold at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC), with ‘The Library’ bringing together books, conversations, food and cultural experiences under one roof. Ahead of its opening, Nita Ambani, chairperson of the Reliance Foundation, offered a glimpse of the new space and marked the occasion in a timeless silk saree look.
For the announcement, Nita opted for a cream-coloured silk saree featuring a delicate border highlighted with intricate gold embroidery. She paired it with a matching silk blouse featuring half-length sleeves, a scoop neckline and a tailored silhouette. Pearl-embellished patti borders added a subtle touch of detail to the cuffs.
However, it was her jewellery that gave the otherwise restrained ensemble its statement moment. Nita accessorised with a striking Guttapusalu necklace, a traditional style associated with the Telugu jewellery heritage of the Coromandel coast. The three-string gold necklace featured clusters of pearls and was paired with traditional kundan bangles and coordinating diamond earrings.
A large diamond ring added another dose of sparkle to the look, while her beauty styling remained classic. Nita wore her hair in a centre-parted braided bun decorated with red flowers. A red bindi, kohl-rimmed eyes, defined brows, mascara-coated lashes and a hint of blush completed the look.
A new chapter at NMACC
‘The Library’ is set to open on November 1 and is envisioned as a space where reading, conversations, food and shared experiences come together.
In a video shared by NMACC on Instagram on October 4, Nita offered a sneak peek at the new space. The entrance features an elaborate tree installation with a giant open book and illuminated butterflies, setting the tone for the immersive experience.
Speaking about the idea behind the initiative, Nita said, “A whole new story is waiting to unfold. The joy of reading, of good conversations, great food and amazing experiences all under one roof. Brings back my childhood. Can’t wait to welcome you all to The Library at NMACC.”
With its focus on books, culture and conversations, ‘The Library’ marks another addition to NMACC’s growing cultural ecosystem.
