Ananya Panday stuns as Gaurav Gupta's couture bride in ivory lehenga | PICS

Ananya Panday closed Gaurav Gupta's latest couture showcase in Mumbai with a bridal look that stepped away from conventional wedding colours. The actor appeared in an ivory lehenga designed for the finale, presenting a fresh take on bridal dressing that balanced contemporary couture with intricate hand craftsmanship.
The ensemble featured a sweetheart-neck blouse paired with a voluminous lehenga skirt, both covered in hand-applied sequins, crystals, beads and detailed embroidery. A sweeping veil completed the look, adding movement to the runway presentation while keeping the focus on the garment's craftsmanship. Instead of layering statement jewellery, the styling remained minimal, allowing the detailing of the outfit to stand out.

Soft waves and glowing makeup complemented the monochrome palette, giving the bridal look a refined finish. The choice of ivory over traditional reds and golds reflected the growing popularity of lighter bridal palettes among designers exploring modern wedding couture.
The collection itself took months to develop and includes more than 40 couture looks across bridal wear, cocktail ensembles, reception outfits, occasion dressing and menswear. Crafted by a team of over 150 artisans, the designs collectively represent thousands of hours of handwork, combining sculptural tailoring with intricate embellishment techniques.

This couture presentation also builds on themes first introduced in Gaurav Gupta's Spring Summer 2026 Paris Couture collection. Drawing inspiration from the relationship between the sun and the moon, the collection is divided into two narratives. One explores celestial tones through midnight blue, silver and crystal finishes, while the other embraces richer shades such as molten gold, copper and deep red, bringing together contrasting elements within a single couture story.
The collection, which concluded with Ananya Panday in an ivory bridal creation, reimagined Indian bridal fashion through meticulous craftsmanship, structured silhouettes and a contemporary colour palette.
