They say dress for the job you want, but at Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla's 40th, everyone dressed for the legacy they were already part of.

This wasn't a room of strangers borrowing couture for a night, Sonam Kapoor, Isha Ambani, Nita Ambani, Dimple Kapadia, they've all been in the AJSK for decades, and it showed in exactly how much effort went into showing up.

Here's the full audit of who wore what:

Sonam Kapoor

Sonam wore an ivory-white long kurta embroidered with tone-on-tone floral motifs and a V-neckline in silver embellishment, with sequin and mirror-work edging running down the front.

A matching sequinned dupatta with a silver zari border was draped like a cape. She paired it with elongated chandelier earrings with pearl tassels and an oversized cocktail ring, skipping a necklace. Styled by Rhea Kapoor.

Isha Ambani

Isha wore a custom zardozi-embroidered skirt set with a '90s-style halterneck blouse, taking artisans close to 450 hours to complete. The design used aari and zardozi work in Mughal-era jaali motifs with Swarovski crystals, pearls and bugle beads.

She accessorised with a diamond-and-pearl choker, diamond earrings and a multi-ring from Nita Ambani's personal collection, plus René Caovilla crystal heels. Styled by Andrew Mukamal.

Nita Ambani

Nita wore a maroon pure chiffon sari with a velvet border set in laser-cut geometric motifs with a full-sleeve blouse carrying Art Deco-inspired trellis embroidery.

She accessorised with a red corded necklace holding a teardrop diamond, dangler earrings in white and yellow diamonds, and a diamond cocktail ring, keeping her makeup to kohl-lined eyes and a red bindi.

Genelia Deshmukh

Genelia layered a sleeveless organza embroidered kurta over a full-sleeve metallic brocade kurta, combining marodi, gota, vasli and thread work with sequin detailing. Her Hyderabadi khada dupatta was woven in jamdani style and shortened from its traditional six yards.

She wore a jadai nagam hair ornament with mogra flowers, XXL chandelier earrings with kaan chain supports, and golden juttis. Styled by Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar.

Neetu Kapoor

Neetu wore a champagne and nude ensemble with delicate white floral embroidery, styled as a sheer short-sleeved overlay, a narrow draped scarf and fluid sheer-panelled trousers.

Teal earrings provided the colour contrast, paired with bracelets and rings. Her hair was styled in soft waves, finished with a coral lip.

Radhika Merchant

Radhika wore a fitted, cropped jacket and matching skirt in a deep purple base, covered in dense ivory floral embroidery with geometric borders.

She paired the set with an emerald pendant on a black cord and matching emerald earrings, finishing the look with smoky eyes and hair pulled back.

Shloka Ambani

Shloka Ambani was keeping her co-ord sets understated to let the craftsmanship take focus, with a detailed dupatta that divided the attire to be Indo-western. She accessorised with a pair of emerald drop earrings, adding a note of colour to the look. Styled by Niriksha Poojary, with makeup by Divya Shetty.

Navya Naveli Nanda

Navya wore a heavily embellished antique gold mini dress inspired by traditional Indian jewellery, featuring an armour-like bodice with gold-toned embroidery, metallic beads, circular motifs, chains and coin embellishments.

The high, rounded neckline and short sleeves carried the same detailing into a fitted mini skirt. Styled by Pranay Jaitly and Shounak Amonkar.
