KSRTC’s Pancha Pandava Darshan tour a massive success for second consecutive year

Pathanamthitta: The Pancha Pandava Darshan tour package introduced by the budget tourism cell of KSRTC proved successful for a second consecutive year. From the 93 trips run from different units, the corporation received a total of Rs 35 lakhs. Over 4,300 passengers undertook the tours. In the package, passengers will be given the opportunity to have Aranmula VallaSadya and then will embark on a pilgrimage trip to the Pancha Pandava temples.
The package known as “A pilgrimage through the History of Mahabharata' is organised in coordination with Travancore Devaswom board and the Palliyoda Seva Sangham. People from places ranging from Kannur to Parassala participated in the tour programme.
The Pancha Pandava temples include Thrichittatt, Thirupiliyur, Thiruvaranmula, Thiruvanvandoor, and Thrikodithanam temples. In the KSTRC’s tour package, the passengers will also have an opportunity to visit Muthukulam Pandavarkavu Temple and the Kaviyoor Thrikkakkudy cave temple.
Participants in the tour will also get an opportunity to witness the manufacturing process of the Aranmula Kannadi (mirror). An audio tour guide will keep them engaged and entertained throughout the journey.
It is known that KSRTC is mulling on conducting several excursion trips in the Pathanamthitta district in the month of October.
Trips will be organised from Thiruvalla to Gavi on October 12, 14, 24, and 26. Similarly a Pathanamthitta-Vagamon trip will be conducted on October 8 and 24.
Another excursion from Ranni to Gavi will be organised by the KSRTC on October 31.
