Mohanlal’s biography ‘Mukharagam’ to be published by Mathrubhumi Books

Kozhikode: Fans of Mohanlal will soon get a close look at the legendary actor’s life and career through his upcoming biography, Mukharagam, to be published by Mathrubhumi Books.
Written by noted journalist and author Bhanuprakhash, the biography is slated for release in December 2025, with a pre-publication scheduled for August. Mukharagam chronicles Mohanlal’s journey from his debut in the 1978 film Thiranottam to his acclaimed performance in Thudarum.
In a video shared on his social media handle, the actor said, "Dear all, on this birthday of mine, I am delighted to share some wonderful news with you. My biography, written by Bhanu Prakash and published by Mathrubhumi Books under the title 'Mukharagam', is all set to release. The foreword has been written by one of Malayalam's most beloved writers, MT Vasudevan Nair. This book captures various phases of my acting career spanning 47 years. It is a work that many have dreamt of for years, and now it is becoming a reality."
The book delves into the formative years of the actor, tracing his growth from a child in Pathanamthitta to a cultural icon, offering insights into his life, passions, influences, and the people who shaped his path.
The biography features reflections from leading directors, screenwriters, co-actors, and collaborators. It also touches on his involvement in dramas such as Karnabharam and Chayamukhi, and his personal interests in travel, literature, music, and writing.
The biography also delves into the nuances of Mohanlal’s on-screen chemistry with his female leads and co-actors. Additionally, it offers deeper insights into his multifaceted roles beyond cinema, as a producer, entrepreneur, brand ambassador, Lieutenant Colonel, and honorary D.Litt recipient.
