Stray vacancy allotment opens for 3-year LLB in Kerala

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram, has commenced the activities related to the Stray Vacancy Allotment to fill up the vacant seats that exist/arise after the vacant seat allotment round, for admission to three-year LL.B. Course in the Government Law Colleges and private self-financing Law Colleges for the year 2025-26 at www.cee.kerala.gov.in

Those who have already been admitted as well as those who got allotment in vacant seat allotment will not be eligible to participate in this phase and subsequent phases of allotments.

Eligible candidates who have figured in the rank list of the 3-year LL.B. Course 2025 published by the CEE and satisfy the eligibility criteria as per clause 9 in the Prospectus can register fresh options and participate in this phase of allotment.

Probable vacancies due to category conversions will also be filled up in the stray vacancy allotment based on the options in this stray vacancy allotment. Hence, candidates should also take into account probable vacancies while registering options.

Registration Fees: Candidates who wish to register options in stray vacancy seat allotment will have to pay a separate registration fee of Rs.1000/- to the CEE. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OEC categories and other categories specified in the Notification will have to remit Rs.500/- as a Registration Fee. The registration fee can be remitted by way of online payment.

Option Registration can be done up to 1 pm on 15.09.2025. The date of allotment and the institution joining schedule will be notified later.

Those who get an allotment in this phase have to join the allotted college with all the original certificates as given in the prospectus clause 19 within the stipulated time to be announced by the CEE and should remit the applicable tuition fee, other fees and the deposits (if applicable) in the allotted colleges at the time of admission.

The seats received through stray vacancy allotment cannot be changed further. Candidates who are allotted a seat in the stray vacancy allotment will not be eligible for any subsequent allotments, irrespective of the admission status.

After the Stray Vacancy Allotment, if vacancies exist/arise, these vacancies shall be filled through the second round of Stray Vacancy Allotment. For this round, options registered by candidates during this round's Stray Vacancy Allotment will be considered.

Allotment shall be subject to the final order/affiliation/approval of the Govt./Bar Council of India/University concerned.

The registration fee of those candidates who do not get allotment will be refunded. If a candidate gets an allotment and does not join within the stipulated time, the option registration fee will be considered as a penalty and will not be refunded. The option registration fee of the candidates who quit the seats after taking admission will be considered as a penalty and will not be refunded. Refund of the option registration fee for the eligible candidates will be made only after the completion of the allotment process, and it will be notified.
