SET Kerala July 2022: Apply by April 20

LBS Centre for Science and Technology, Palayam, Nandavanam, Thiruvananthapuram 695033 has invited applications for State Eligibility Test (SET) Kerala, July 2022.
A pass in the State Eligibility Test (SET) is a mandatory requirement for appointment as Higher Secondary School Teachers and Non-Vocational Teachers in VHSE.
Scheme of the Test: There shall be two papers each of 2 hours’ duration. Paper I is common for all candidates. It consists of two parts, Part (A) General Knowledge and Part (B) Aptitude in Teaching with 60 questions in each part carrying 1 mark each. Paper II shall be a test based on the subject of specialisation of the candidate at the Post Graduate (PG) Level. There shall be 120 questions carrying one mark each except for Mathematics and Statistics which will have only 80 questions carrying 1.5 marks each. No marks shall be deducted for incorrect answers.
Subjects for SET: The subjects for Paper II are Anthropology, Arabic, Botany, Chemistry, Commerce, Economics, English, Gandhian Studies, Geography, Geology, Hindi, History, Home Science, Islamic History, Journalism, Kannada, Malayalam, Mathematics, Music, Philosophy, Physics, Political Science, Psychology, Sanskrit, Social Work, Sociology, Statistics, Tamil, Urdu, Zoology, Biotechnology.

Qualifying marks: Qualifying marks in SET will be as follows: General categroy: 40% marks in each paper and 48% marks in aggregate. For OBC, it will be 35% and 45% respectively and for Differently Abled/SC/ST, 35% and 40% respectively.
Eligibility: Applicant should have Master’s Degree in the subjects concerned with not less than 50% marks (45% for SC/ST/DA applicants) or equivalent grade and B.Ed. degree in any discipline.
For Anthropology, Commerce, Gandhian Studies, Geology, Home Science, Journalism, Music, Philosophy, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology and Statistics applicant need not have B.Ed. Degree for applying for SET. There are certain another relaxations in conditions in case of certain subjects, details of which can be seen in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in
Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for SET.
Application: Application can be submitted online at www.lbscentre.kerala.gov.in latest by 5 pm on 20.4.2022. Application fee is Rs.1000/- for General/OBC applicants and Rs.500/- for SC/ST/Differently abled applicants to be paid online latest by 5 pm on 22.4.2022.
