NTET 2026 registration extended: Check new deadline and application guide

National Testing Agency (NTA) has extended the last date of Registration for the National Teachers Eligibility Test (NTET) 2026.

NTA will be conducting NTET 2026 on April 28, 2026, in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode across the Country.

NTET is for Postgraduates of Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy who desire to take up the teaching profession. NTET- 2026 for each discipline of Ayurveda, Siddha and Unani of Indian Systems of Medicine & Homoeopathy shall be conducted for the postgraduates of each discipline of Indian system of medicine & Homoeopathy who desire to take up the teaching profession.

In continuation of the Public Notice dated 11.03.2026 and in compliance with the interim order of the Hon’ble High Court of Kerala, in W.P.(C) No.12621/2026 dated 31 March 2026, the last date for submission of the Online Application Form for applying to NTET 2026 is being extended to facilitate the candidates, including Homoeopathy.

Online submission of the Application Form can now be submitted at https://exams.nta.nic.in/ntet/ up to 9 pm on April 7, 2026. Fee can be remitted up to 11.50 pm on April 7, 2026.

Correction in particulars in the application can be done online from April 8, 2026, up to 11.50 pm on April 9, 2026.

Those who are studying for an M.D.(Homoeopathy) Part II/ Final year & have either completed the period of study of 36 months or have their M.D. (Homoeopathy)/Part II exam scheduled on or before 31.05.2026 may apply for NTET 2026. Such applicants are required to submit the No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective institution/ college as per the format attached at Annexure-I to the Notice dated April 2, 2026, available at https://exams.nta.nic.in/ntet/
