KVS, NVS announce Tier-1 exam dates; Check your exam city and intimation slip

Thiruvananthapuram: The Ministry of Education’s autonomous bodies, Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS) and Navodaya Vidyalaya Samiti (NVS), have announced the Tier-1 examination dates for the 2025 recruitment drive. Candidates who submitted applications for teaching and non-teaching positions must now prepare for a two-day examination window in January 2026.

Examination dates and timings

The Tier-1 exams will be held on 10th and 11th January 2026, with morning and afternoon sessions. Each paper will last two hours.

Saturday, 10th January 2026

Morning (09:30 – 11:30): Primary Teacher (PRT), Junior Secretariat Assistant, Lab Attendant

Afternoon (14:30 – 16:30): Multi-Tasking Staff (HQ/RO Cadre)

Sunday, 11th January 2026

Morning (09:30 – 11:30): Assistant Commissioner, Principal, Vice-Principal, Post Graduate Teacher (PGT)

Afternoon (14:30 – 16:30): Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT), Miscellaneous Teachers, Librarian, Administrative Officer, Finance Officer, Junior Translator, Assistant Engineer, Assistant Section Officer, Senior Secretariat Assistant, Stenographer Grades I & II

Check your KVS exam city

Candidates can now view their allotted KVS exam city via the official portal: https://examinationservices.nic.in/AdmitCard/AuthForCity/Login?ApplicationId=102982511. Aspirants must log in using their registration number (starting with 2598) and the password created during the application process.

Authorities have emphasised:

"Candidates are strictly instructed not to use their application number for logging in. Requests to change the allotted examination city will not be entertained or accepted for any reason."

This city information also serves as the KVS NVS exam city intimation slip, essential for planning travel and preparation.

Admit card issuance

Formal admit cards containing detailed examination centre information will be available for download two days before the exam. Candidates are responsible for downloading the documents themselves, as no individual communication or letters will be sent.
