CEE Kerala reopens PG dental 2025 applications for stray vacancy round

The Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, has reopened the online application for allotment/admission to PG Dental Courses-2025 Stray Vacancy Round for the newly qualified candidates, following the lowering of the minimum qualifying percentile.

The NEET-MDS-2025 minimum qualifying percentile has been lowered by the National Board of Examinations. The revised minimum qualifying criteria percentile and revised cutoffscore (out of 960) are as follows: (i) General (UR/EWS) - 30.137th Percentile, 197 (ii) SC/ST/OBC (including PwD of SC/ST/OBC) -20.137th Percentile, 168 (iii) General PwD (UR PwD)- 25.137th Percentile, 182.

Those who are qualified in NEET-MDS-2025 as per the newly announced revised cut-off scores and satisfy the eligibility conditions given in the prospectus for Kerala State MDS-2025 admissions can submit an online application to the CEE through www.cee.kerala.gov.in for the stray vacancy round. The allotment will be conducted to fill up the currently available vacant seats and vacancies arising, if any. The net vacant seats after third round are published at the website.

Category and eligibility for applying online as per revised minimum qualifying criteria: (i) General (UR/EWS) - from 30.137th Percentile, but below 50th percentile (ii) SC/ST/OBC (including PwD of SC/ST/OBC)- from 20.137th Percentile, but below 40th percentile (iii) General PwD (UR PwD)- from 25.137th Percentile, but below 45th percentile.

Candidates submitting fresh applications with any community reservation claim and with a percentile higher than or equal to the 40th percentile and lower than the 50th percentile and candidates submitting fresh applications in the PwD category with a percentile higher than or equal to the 45th percentile and lower than the 50th percentile will not be considered for category claims, even if they submit the required certificates and documents in proof of their claim.

Candidates who have applied for the PG Dental Course Allotment 2025 vide Notification dated 21.06.2025 but were excluded from the merit list due to the failure to upload the relevant documents in the stipulated time to substantiate their claim will not be allowed the category claims, even if they submit relevant documents in this stage. Such candidates can participate in the allotment process as General Category only and will not be considered for category claims, but they need not submit an online application again.

Newly qualified candidates, who find a place in the rank list, can participate in the stray vacancy filling allotment subject to the condition that none of the allotments/admissions carried out in the previous allotments are disturbed.

The online application submission facility based on revised minimum qualifying criteria for the MDS-2025 course in dental colleges in Kerala will be available through the link, ‘PG Dental 2025 – Re-Opening Online Application,’ till 11.59 pm on 24.08.2025.

The application fee is Rs. 1,000/-. For SC/ST candidates and those eligible for SC/ST benefits as per G.O.(Ms) No. 25/05/STSCDD dated 20.06.2005, it is Rs.500/-. Documents (as prescribed in the prospectus) in support of the basic eligibility (such as nativity, birth proof etc.) along with those for (a) Fee Concession (b) Lower NEET-MDS-2025 cut-off for reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC) (c) Any other category claim, as per the Kerala state MDS-2025 prospectus (if applicable), should be uploaded within the stipulated time limit.

Candidates should complete the online submission of the application and upload the required documents within the timeline. In this phase of online application submission, only those candidates who have freshly qualified as per the revised qualification criteria will be able to submit the applications.
