JEE Main 2026 Session 2: Crucial correction window to open on February 27

National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the details related to corrections in Particulars of the Applications for the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2026 Session 2.
NTA has decided to provide an opportunity for the candidates to modify their particulars in the Online Application Form of JEE (Main) 2026 Session-2.
Last date for submission of online application for JEE (Main) 2026 Session-2 is February 25, 2026. There will be no further extension of the date.
Correction in particulars in the fields as per Annexure 1 of the Public Notice dated 21.2.2026, at https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ can be made from February 27 to 11.50 pm on February 28, 2026.
This opportunity is being provided for all those candidates who have applied as a fresh candidate for the JEE (Main) 2026 Session-2, as well as for those candidates who had applied for JEE (Main) 2026 Session-1 and also registered/are registering for JEE (Main) 2026 Session-2.
Existing candidates (candidates who are already registered during the registration period of JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1) and who have also applied/are applying for Session 2 ( February 1 to February 25, 2026); are allowed to edit or modify the following: (i) Course (Paper) (ii) Medium of Question Paper (iii) State Code of Eligibility (iv) Examination Cities as per the available options (v) Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th) (vi) Gender (vii) Category (viii) Fee Payment (if applicable) (ix) Identity Details - Only for candidates who registered with identity other than Aadhaar. Correction in these fields will be applicable only after payment of an additional fee, if any.
For new candidates who applied/are applying for Session 2 only during the period from February 1 to February 25, 2026: Candidates shall not be allowed to change: Mobile Number; E-Mail Address; Address (Permanent and Present); Emergency Contact details; Live/ Uploaded Photograph of the candidate.
Candidate shall be allowed to change any one of the fields- Candidate Name, Father's Name or Mother's Name.
Candidates shall be allowed to change/add all the following fields: (i) Educational qualification details (Class 10th and Class 12th) (ii) State Code of Eligibility (iii) Date of Birth (iv) Gender (v) Category (vi) Sub-category/ PwD (If not verified by UDID Portal) (vii) Signature (viii) Paper.
Candidates shall be allowed to change the following based on their Permanent and Present addresses: (i) Examination City Selection, (ii) Medium of the examination
Candidate shall be allowed to change identity details (Only for candidates who registered with an identity other than Aadhaar): (i) Aadhaar details.
If there is an impact on the fee, then the additional fee will be charged as applicable. However, in any case, the fee will not be reimbursed. Correction in these fields will be applicable only after payment of an additional fee, if any. Once the corrections are done and submitted, the form shall be frozen.
All the registered candidates for the Examination may visit https://jeemain.nta.nic.in/ and verify their particulars. They may make corrections in their particulars, if required.
The additional fee (wherever applicable) shall be paid by the candidate concerned either through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking/UPI.
Since it is a one-time facility extended to the candidates to avoid any hardship, candidates must do the correction very carefully, as no further opportunity for correction will be given to the candidates.
