IIM Kozhikode scholar among 35 Indians Awarded Australia-India Research Scholarship

Kozhikode: Kushagra Sharan, a PhD scholar of IIM Kozhikode’s Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) has bagged the prestigious Australia India Research Scholarship (AIRS), the institute said in a press release. Sharan is the only PhD student across IIMs and one amongst 35 Indians to be awarded this scholarship, it read.
Sharan belongs to Ranchi, Jharkhand and is pursuing his PhD in Strategic Management at IIM Kozhikode. He will be visiting University of Wollongong, Australia, to pursue his research interest as part of the Scholarship. Fellowships of up to AUD $10,000 have been awarded to 63 research students and postdoctoral scholars, which includes 28 Australian Scholars too. The bilateral program, led by the Australia India Institute and funded by the Australian Government’s Department of Education, supports emerging researchers from India and Australia to undertake short-term research exchanges. The 2023 Fellows will undertake a research project during an exchange of 4 to 8 weeks, to be completed by mid-October 2023.
IIM Kozhikode director, Prof Debashis Chatterjee, congratulated and felicitated Sharan for this achievement and wished him best for the upcoming stint at University of Wollongong to pursue his research interest.
