₹14,000 stipend and PPO chance: IDRBT opens summer internship applications

Institute for Development and Research in Banking Technology (IDRBT), Castle Hills, Road No. 1, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, Telangana-500057, has invited applications for the Summer Internship Programme (ISIP) offered by the Institute.

The Internship offers students an opportunity to enhance their skills while working with India’s premier banking technology institution. The programme enables interns to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world settings, gain exposure to banking and financial technologies, understand professional practices, and develop technical, analytical, and essential workplace skills.

The internship will be for a maximum duration of three months and will be held at IDRBT, Castle Hills, Road No. 1, Masab Tank, Hyderabad, Telangana-500057.

Eligibility: Applicants must be enrolled in recognised and reputed institutions/colleges in India and should be who are close to the completion of their course which should be (i) Postgraduate programmes in Technology or Management (with a background in IT or allied domains) or (ii) Four-year undergraduate programmes in IT and allied domains.

Application can be submitted online at the link provided in the Notification page latest by 15th April 2026.

Applicants must e-mail the required documents to hunar@idrbt.ac.in with the subject line: “Application to IDRBT Summer Internship Programme”. The email must include, Updated resume; Scanned copy of the filled, duly signed, and stamped Letter of Recommendation / No-Objection Certificate. The sample format of the Letter of Recommendation / No-Objection Certificate is available in the Notification.

Facilities: Summer trainees are eligible to receive a monthly stipend of Rs. 14,000/- per month. Accommodation facilities will be provided specially to out-stationed interns, particularly girls, at IDRBT Staff Quarters, Begumpet, subject to availability and on a first-come, first-served basis.

The High performing Interns will be considered for PPO post assessment. The PPO’s duration will be 26 weeks. On completion of PPO, the candidate can be absorbed by IDRBT in a suitable role with appropriate compensation.

Selection process: IDRBT will select a maximum of 10 candidate. Initial shortlisting will be based on academic performance and Statement of Purpose (SOP). Shortlisted candidates will be invited for an interview. Online interviews will be conducted on 20 April 2026. Selected candidates will be informed via email or phone, along with further joining details. Selected interns are required to submit a Declaration of Secrecy to IDRBT before reporting for the internship.
