NTA invites applications for CUET PG 2026 for postgraduate admissions

National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited applications for the Common University Entrance Test [CUET (PG) 2026] for admission to Postgraduate Programmes in Central and other participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges for 2026.

CUET (PG) will provide a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organisations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) across the Country.

After the declaration of the CUET (PG) - 2026 result by NTA, the respective Universities will declare the counselling/ admission schedule and merit list based on the CUET (PG) - 2026 score and the other criteria of the respective University. NTA has no role in the selection process. Admissions are handled at the level of the Central and Participating Universities for their respective programs.

The list of participating Universities is available at the ‘Universities’ link at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. The list of participating universities is dynamic. The list of participating universities will be changing till the completion of the Registration process. Applicants should regularly visit https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/ for the latest updates regarding the examination.

CUET (PG) 2026 will be conducted in Computer-Based Test mode only. Examinations will be conducted with different Question Paper Codes depending on the courses being offered by the participating Universities. The Codes of Questions papers and the corresponding subjects are listed in the Information Bulletin on the website. The Courses offered by the Participating Universities, eligibility for admission and the Code of the Question paper applicable to each course are given in the link of the Participating institutions available at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/. Applicants should check the course, its eligibility and QP code carefully from the website, as similar courses are being evaluated under different question paper codes by different universities. An applicant can choose a maximum of four question paper codes.

The duration of the exam would be 90 minutes. The Question paper will have 75 Questions. Four marks would be awarded for each correct answer, and one mark would be deducted for each wrong answer. The syllabus for the question paper codes is available on the website.

Examination would be conducted in March 2026.

Application: Application can be submitted online at https://exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg/, latest by 11.50 pm on January 14, 2026.

Application fee (Depending on the category/test centre in India or abroad/number of Test papers selected, etc.) can be paid online by 11.50 pm on January 14, 2026 through Net-Banking/ Debit Card /Credit Card / UPI.
