CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation portal hit by technical glitch, students unable to access services

The CBSE Class 12 re-evaluation and verification portal, which was scheduled to go live on June 1, 2026, remained inaccessible on Monday, leaving thousands of students waiting for post-result services to begin. The delay comes at a time when the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is already facing scrutiny over recent issues linked to scanned answer sheets and its new digital evaluation system.

Students attempting to access the verification, photocopy and re-evaluation services reported that the portal link had not been activated despite the board's revised timeline.

The board had earlier postponed the launch of post-result activities from May 29 to June 1, citing the need to strengthen website infrastructure and ensure a smoother application process. CBSE had said additional technical preparations were being carried out to handle heavy traffic and maintain transparency in the evaluation process.

However, even after the revised date arrived, students were unable to access the re-evaluation portal. The delay has drawn attention because it follows a series of technical complaints reported during the answer-sheet access process earlier this month.

Several students had flagged difficulties in obtaining scanned copies of evaluated answer books. Others reported payment gateway failures and discrepancies in fee displays while attempting to access post-result services.

CBSE is expected to witness heavy demand once the portal becomes active. Earlier, more than four lakh applications were reportedly received for access to scanned answer sheets, indicating the scale of interest in the post-result process.

Once activated, students will be able to apply for verification of marks, obtain photocopies of evaluated answer books and seek re-evaluation of specific answers after reviewing their scripts.
