CBSE result support system explained: Helpline, counselling and rechecking assistance

New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has rolled out a comprehensive support system for students following the announcement of Class 10 and Class 12 examination results.
The initiative is aimed at helping students manage stress, resolve doubts related to results and access guidance during one of the most important phases of the academic year. The board has introduced multiple support channels to ensure students can seek assistance whenever required.
Toll-free helpline now active across India
CBSE has activated its toll-free helpline number, 1800-11-8004, for students who may be experiencing anxiety or confusion after the declaration of results.
The service is available round the clock through an automated response system operating in both Hindi and English. Students can use the helpline to get answers to common queries related to examinations and result procedures.
Apart from the automated support, students can also speak directly with trained counsellors on weekdays between 9:30 am and 5:30 pm.
According to the board, the counselling team includes principals, teachers and mental health professionals associated with CBSE-affiliated schools.
Email support available for different queries
CBSE has also provided dedicated email support for students who prefer written communication.
Students with general enquiries can contact the board through info.cbse@nic.in.
For issues specifically related to examination results, verification of marks and re-checking requests, students have been asked to write to result.cbse2026@cbseshiksha.in.
Support covers academic and emotional concerns
The post-result support system has been designed to address both academic and emotional concerns faced by students.
The services include guidance on re-evaluation procedures, clarification regarding marks verification and support for students dealing with examination stress.
Through the initiative, CBSE aims to ensure that students and parents have easier access to reliable information and counselling support during the result period.
