AISSEE 2026: NTA announces Class 6 and 9 admission results

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has declared the results of the All India Sainik Schools Entrance Examination (AISSEE) 2026, formally initiating the admission process for Class 6 and Class 9 in Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools across India.

The results were announced on 27 February 2026. Candidates who appeared for the examination can access and download their scorecards from the official website, exams.nta.nic.in, by logging in with their application number and password.

The AISSEE 2026 was conducted in pen-and-paper mode on 18 January 2026. The examination took place at 464 centres across 190 cities nationwide for admissions to both existing Sainik Schools and newly established Sainik Schools.

In an official notification, the NTA said that the declaration of results marks the commencement of the next stage of the admission process. The agency stated that shortlisted candidates’ eligibility, along with required documents and forms, will be scrutinised in accordance with prescribed norms. Only those who meet the eligibility criteria will be permitted to proceed further.

To download the AISSEE 2026 scorecard, candidates must visit the official website, select the AISSEE 2026 result link on the homepage, enter the required credentials and submit the details. Applicants have been advised to retain their scorecards for the counselling process.

Admissions to Sainik Schools and New Sainik Schools will be conducted through an e-counselling process. Seats will be allocated based on merit and fulfilment of eligibility criteria.
