Admissions at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences: Apply by May 10

National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Institute of National Importance; Hosur Road, Bengaluru, India-560 029 has invited applications for admission to the various Programs, for session 1 of the Academic Year 2022-23.

Programs include Ph.D, Post-Doctoral Fellowship (PDF), MD, M.Phil, Fellowship, Master’s Program and Post Graduate Diploma.  

PhD Program is available in Biophysics, Biostatistics, Clinical Neurosciences (Funded by ICMR), Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psychopharmacology and Toxicology, Human Genetics, Mental Health Education, Neurochemistry, Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Neurological Rehabilitation, Neuromicrobiology, Neuropathology, Neurophysiology, Neurovirology, Nursing, Psychiatric Social Work, Psychiatry, History of Psychiatry, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Speech Pathology & Audiology, Integrative Medicine, Psychosocial Support in Disaster Management.

MPhil. Program is conducted in Clinical Psychology and in Psychiatric Social Work.

Masters Programs: Master of Public Health, M.Sc. in Biostatistics; M.Sc. in Psychiatric Nursing; M.Sc. in Neuroscience Nursing; M.Sc. in Yoga Therapy (Mental Health & Neurosciences).

Postgraduate Diploma: Clinical Biochemistry.

Minimum requirements for admission to each Program is given in the Prospectus available at the admission link.

Application can be submitted online at the link available at the Admission link latest by 10.5.2022. One can apply for maximum of three courses only. The options are to be indicated in the application form. 

Application fee is Rs. 1,500/- per course. It is Rs.1000/- for SC/ST applicants. Amount can be paid using Debit/Credit Cards. There is no application fee for PWD Category (40%-70% Disability).
