Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology invites applications for Young Professional and Project Assistant posts

Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology (UCB), Biotech Bhavan, Haldi-263146, District-Udham Singh Nagar, Uttarakhand, has announced a walk-in interview for filling up the following project positions for different projects.

There is 1 position of Young Professional - I against the UCB-funded project, ‘Establishment of Plant Quarantine Centre for Strengthening of Regional Centre, Patwadangar, Nainital’.

Essential Qualification: B.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences

Emoluments (fixed) per month will be Rs. 15000/-

Place of working: Field work, Regional Centre Patwadangar, Nainital, Uttarakhand

There are 2 Young Professional and 1 Project Assistant positions against the UCB-funded project, ‘Phytochemical Analysis of Fifteen Wild Edible Fruits of Uttarakhand.’

For 1 position of Young Professional – II carrying monthly emoluments of Rs. 25,000/-, those with an M.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences can apply. Desirable: Those with good writing skills and 2 years’ prior experience in biochemical/molecular techniques will be preferred.

For one position of Young Professional - I carrying monthly emoluments of Rs. 15,000/-, applicants should have B.Sc. in Biotechnology/Life Sciences. Desirable: At least six months training in Molecular biology / Phytochemical techniques.

Project Assistant (1 position, monthly emoluments, Rs. 12,000/-): Applicant should hold Intermediate in any subject with good academic record. Advance computer course diploma.

Place of working: Uttarakhand Council for Biotechnology, Pantnagar, U.S. Nagar / Regional Centre Patwadangar, Nainital, Uttarakhand / Field work.

For all positions, upper age limit will be 42 years on the date of application format with relaxation to SC/ST/OBC candidates as per the Government of Uttarakhand norms.

All the above positions are purely temporary and for a period of one year or period till termination of project, whichever is less.

Walk-in-interview will be held at 11 am on 4th November 2025 at Government Inter College, Pantnagar, Near Badi Market, U.S. Nagar. Reporting time will be 10 am to 11 am on 4th November, 2025.

Original certificates should be brought for verification by those attending the interview.
