Government jobs in Earth Sciences: NCESS seeks Junior Technicians – Eligibility and how to apply

National Centre for Earth Science Studies (NCESS), Ministry of Earth Sciences, Govt. of India, Akkulam, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala - 695 011, has invited online applications from Indian citizens for the regular position of 03 posts of Junior Technician.

There are 2 vacancies of Junior Technician (Group C)- Post Code 01 and 1 vacancy of Junior Technician (Group C) – Post Code 02.

Eligibility for both positions is Matriculation or equivalent pass or ITI pass.

Nature of Duties of Junior Technician will be as assigned by the Competent Authority, related to the post.

Junior Technician Post Code 01 is for the UR Category, for which the age of the applicant should be between 18 and 25 years.

Junior Technician Post Code 02 is for the SC category, and the age of the applicant should not exceed 30 years (25 years plus 5 years’ age relaxation for SC)

The posts carry allowances and benefits as applicable for employees of identical status in the Government of India.

The cut-off date for the determination of essential qualification and age limit will be the date of closure of the application.

Selection will be through a written test. Those fulfilling the eligibility criteria for the post will be required to appear for a written test, in accordance with the decision of the committee constituted by NCESS.

The names of candidates short-listed for the written test will be notified at https://www.ncess.gov.in, and an intimation to this effect will be sent through the email id furnished by the candidate.
