Project positions at International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials

International Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), an Autonomous R&D Centre of Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India; RCI New Airport Road, Balapur, Hyderabad, Telangana-500 005, has announced Walk-in Interviews for Research Associates/Senior/Junior Research Fellows & Project Staff Positions.

Details of Fellowship & Project Staff Positions, Essential Qualifications are as follows:

1. Research Associate I (No of Posts – 03): Age: 35 years; Emoluments: Rs. 58,000/- + HRA: Ph.D. or M.E./M.Tech. with 3 years of research, teaching & design and Development experience, with at least one research paper in SCI Journal. 

2. Junior Research Fellow (No. of Posts-20): Age: 28 years; Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- + HRA: Applicants should possess valid GATE/NET score card or should have qualified National level examinations conducted by Central Government Departments/ Agencies/Institutions and shall have 1st Class in M.Sc. Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science or B.E./B.Tech./M.E./ M.Tech. in Metallurgy/Metallurgical & Materials/Chemical/Mechanical Engg. 

3. Senior Research Fellow (No. of Posts-02): Age: 32 years; Emoluments: Rs. 42,000/- + HRA: Applicant must have Qualifications as prescribed above for Junior Research Fellow Plus Two years’ research experience. 

4. Project Associate - I (No of Posts – 06): Age: 35 years; Emoluments: Rs. 31,000/-+ HRA (for GATE/NET); Rs. 25,000/-+ HRA for Non-GATE/NET): M.Sc. Physics/Chemistry/Materials Science or B.E./B.Tech. Metallurgy/ Metallurgical and Materials/Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/EEE/ECE /Energy/ Nanotechnology. 

5. Project Technical Assistant (No. of Posts-05): Age: 50 years; Emoluments: Rs. 20,000/- + HRA: B.Sc. in Physics/Materials Science or 3 years Diploma in Metallurgical/Chemical Mechanical/Electrical/ECE/Automobile Engineering.

Age Limit: Upper age limit as above shall be as on the closing date of application. However, upper age is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC (Non-creamy layer) candidates, etc. or as per Govt. of India rules. Age relaxation for Persons with Disabilities shall be as per Govt. of India orders. 

Tenure: Selected fellows (RA/SRF/JRF) and project staff shall be engaged initially for a period of one year. However, their tenure shall be renewable annually, subject to satisfactory performance. The extended tenure shall be up to a maximum duration of time-bound sponsored project, subject to sponsored projects requirements and availability of funds etc. in case of project staff.

SRF/JRF Registration for External Ph.D. Programme: Permission to register for external Ph.D. program shall be granted strictly based on performance during the first year of joining. Research fellows (SRF/JRF) not securing admission to a Ph.D. program in first two attempts (Ph.D. entrance selection/tests) or in the first 12 months of their joining, shall not be permitted to re-apply for Ph.D. as an external candidate of ARCI.
