Applications invited for CBI law internship scheme-2024

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has announced its Law Internship Scheme-2024, inviting applications from 30 law interns. Eligible candidates are Indian nationals enrolled in reputed Law Universities or Institutes, currently pursuing a graduate course in law. Selected interns will work in various CBI offices in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Bangalore.

They would be expected to supplement the process of analysis within the Agency through empirical collection and collation of in-house data and other information. Besides the knowledge of legal procedure and research,  the exposure of working with the CBI will be an added advantage for the interns in furthering their own career goals. 

Eligibility:
1. The candidate must be an Indian citizen. 
2. Enrolled in a reputed Law University/Institute.
3. For 5-year integrated LLB course: Should be undergoing or completed 8th semester. 
4. For 3-year LLB course: Should be undergoing or completed 8th semester. 

Internship Conditions:

  • No payment/stipend will be given to interns.
  • Interns must arrange their own accommodation and travel.
  • No medical or other facilities will be provided by CBI.
  • The internship does not guarantee future employment at CBI.
  • Interns will assist CBI law officers and investigators with various tasks, including researching court judgments, preparing court documents, and data collection.
  • Interns must sign an “Oath of Secrecy” upon joining.

Duration:

The internship will last between 3 to 6 months.

Application Process:

1. Applications must be submitted online via the CBI website https://cbi.gov.in/vacancies by 20.07.2024.
2. Required documents include a photograph, scanned signature, proof of date of birth (pdf), academic transcripts, enrollment status letter, and a recommendation letter from the Principal/HoD.
