Bachelor Programs at Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS): Apply by September 13

Tata Institute of Social Sciences (TISS), Mumbai has invited applications for admission to the BA Programmes offered by the Institute at Tuljapur (Maharashtra) and Guwahati (Assam) campuses for 2021-22.

The Programs offered and the intake for each are as follows: Tuljapur Off-campus- BA Programme in Social Sciences (30 seats); BA (Hons) in Social Work in Rural Development (30); Guwahati Off-campus- BA Programme in Social Sciences (60 seats).

Eligibility: Applicant should have passed 12th Class or Intermediate in any subject stream from a recognised board. Those who have studied International Baccalaureate Diploma and will be completing 12th class with clear results declared by September 2021 are eligible to apply.

Those who have appeared for their 12th class or Intermediate final exams and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply. Final pass result should be produced at the time of joining the programme, if selected.
Age Limit: The upper age limit as of 18th September 2021, for General candidates is 20 years. For OBC, it is 22 years and for SC & ST, the age limit is 24 years.

Selection: Selection to the Program is based on TISS Bachelor’s Admission Test (TISS-BAT 2021). It will be a computer based entrance test to be held from 2.30 pm to 3.30 pm on September 19, 2021 (Sunday) in Online Remote Proctored Mode. Those with basic working knowledge of computer can take the test easily through a computer or a smart phone.

The exam will have 60 Multiple Choice Questions each carrying one mark, with 20 questions each from (i) Verbal Ability (ii) Mathematics and Logical Reasoning and (iii) General Awareness(GA). There will be no negative marking for incorrect answers. The sectional cut off required to qualify in the examination, the syllabus for the examination etc are given at https://admissions.tiss.edu/

Application fees is Rs. 1000/-.  Relaxation in applications fee is available for certain reserved categories based on family income, details of which are available at the website.
