Options invited for stray vacancy round of PG medical courses in Kerala

Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations (CEE) Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram-695 001; has commenced the activities related to the Online Stray Vacancy Allotment to the vacant seats in Post Graduate Medical Courses-2025 in Government Medical Colleges and Self Financing Medical colleges in Kerala.
This allotment will be conducted to fill up the currently available vacant seats and vacancies arising, if any. The net vacant seats comprising the Un- allotted/Non joining of third phase have been published at the website. Candidates may register options to any seat they wish to join, if allotted, irrespective of the vacancy status notified, as any vacancy that may arise during the counselling will be filled based on these options.
Candidates who joined the allotted seats through the earlier allotments (First, Second or Third) conducted by CEE and are still continuing in the allotted seat are not eligible to participate in the stray vacancy filling. Candidates who have been allotted seats in the third phase are not eligible to participate in the stray vacancy filling. Those who vacated the seat after 5 pm on 13.02.2026 will not be eligible to participate in the Stray vacancy filling allotment (as per notification dated 10.02.2026). Those candidates who are included in the list of ineligible candidates to be shared by the MCC after the AIQ Stray vacancy allotment will not be considered for Stray vacancy filling phase.
Fresh Option Registration is mandatory for participating in the Stray vacancy filling phase allotment. The options registered in the previous phases will not be considered for allotment in the Stray vacancy filling phases.
All candidates who wish to participate in the Stray vacancy filling phase have to pay option registration fee afresh. Option Registration Fee to be paid will be the amount equal to the annual tuition fee if Government Medical Colleges (including the RCC) only are to be opted or an amount of Rs.1,00,000/- (Rupees One Lakh only) if Self Financing Colleges are to be opted. Those who have paid option registration fees in the third phase but did not get any allotment need not pay the registration fees again or have to pay only the balance amount as the case may be. For SC/ST/OE and other candidates who are eligible for fee concession, the registration fee for Government /Private Medical college seats will be half of the above amounts respectively. The registration fee paid will be refunded to the eligible candidates after the end of counselling process. The registration fee of those candidates who do not join the seat allotted will be treated as penalty and will not be refunded.
Eligible candidates included in the Kerala State Merit list published by the CEE can register their options through the website www.cee.kerala.gov.in till 11.59 pm on 22.02.2026.
Candidates may enter their Application Number & Password in the link ‘PG Medical 2025- Candidate Portal’ provided in the above website to log on to their home page. By clicking the menu ‘Stray Vacancy - Option Registration’ candidates can register their options. The allotment will be based on the merit list and the online options received.
Provisional Stray Vacancy Allotment will be published on 23.02.2026 and Final Stray Vacancy Allotment on 24.02.2026. All candidates who get an allotment should join the course and college to which they are allotted along with the required documents and pay the fee at the colleges allotted during 25.02.2026 and 4 pm on 28.02.2026.
Candidates getting allotment in the Stray vacancy filling phase shall not have any claim on the seats allotted earlier. If any candidate does not join the seat allotted in the Stray vacancy filling phase, the option registration fee will be forfeited and such candidates will be liable to pay liquidated damages as per Clause 10.1.19 (4) of the Prospectus.
If any candidate vacates a seat joined in Stray vacancy allotment or vacates a joined seat (joined in any of the previous phases also) after Stray vacancy allotment process, he/she will be liable to pay liquidated damages as per Clause 10.1.19 (4) of the Prospectus.
Candidates must go through the various provisions with regard to the allotment process in the Prospectus for admission to PG Medical Courses-2025 available at www.cee.kerala.gov.in.
