Master of Fine Arts programs at JNAFAU College of Fine Arts, Hyderabad

Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University (JNAFAU), Mahaveer Marg, Masab Tank, Hyderabad-500028, has invited applications for admission to various 2-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) programs offered at JNAFAU College of Fine Arts for the Academic Year 2023-24.

Full Time-Self finance MFA Programmes and eligibility for admission are as follows:

(i)MFA Applied Art & Visual Communication : 4-year B.F.A (Applied Art)/ Equivalent (ii) MFA Painting & Visual Communication: 4-year B.F.A (Painting)/ Equivalent (iii) MFA Photography & Media Communication: 4-year B.F.A (Photography)/ Equivalent. Those who have 3-year BFA (Photography) degree with 3 year practical experience after completion of their program in Photography are also eligible (iv) MFA Sculpture: 4 year B.F.A (Sculpture)/ Equivalent.

Admissions will be through Entrance Examination and Interview. The structure of the Entrance Examination, model papers and syllabus are available at the website.

The minimum qualifying marks in the Written Examination will be 50% for General category, 45% for Physically Challenged and 40% for SC/ST candidates. The candidates those who qualify in the Written Examination with the above-mentioned qualifying marks, only will be called for interview.

The annual tuition fee is Rs.75000/-. The MFA programs will commence only if 50% of seats in each program are filled.

All those admitted to MFA Applied Art and MFA Photography shall procure / have their independent laptop at the time of admissions. The students of MFA Photography shall also procure a professional camera as per the specifications recommended by the Head of the Department.

The filled in application form, photocopies of relevant documents/certificates along with Demand Draft for Rs. 2,000/- (Rs.1,000/- for SC/ST candidates) drawn on any nationalized bank in favour of ‘Registrar, JNAFAU’ payable at Hyderabad should reach ‘The office of the Director, Admissions, Jawaharlal Nehru Architecture and Fine Arts University, Masab Tank, Hyderabad-500028’ through speed post or in-person latest by 11.8.2023 (without late fee) and with late fee of Rs. 2,000/- (Rs. 2000/- Late fee + Rs. 2000/- Application Fee - Total Rs. 4,000/-) by 18.8.2023. 5% Supernumerary seats will be meant for students of other states under National Integration Scheme (NIS) in each program.
