Admissions at Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education: Apply by October 15

Lakshmibai National College of Physical Education Kariavattom, Thiruvananthapuram-695 581, under the Sports Authority of India, and affiliated to the University of Kerala, has invited applications for admission to various Programs offered by the Institute for 2021-22.

Applications have been invited for BPEd (2 years), Master of Physical Education (MPE) (2 year) and Post Graduate Diploma in Health & Fitness Management (PGDHFM) (1 Year).

For admission to the B.P.Ed. Course applicant should hold one of the following (i) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks and should have at least participation in the Inter-College/Inter-Zonal/District/School competition in sports and games as recognised by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India (ii) Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education with 45% marks (iii) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 45% marks and studied Physical Education as compulsory/ elective subject (iv) Bachelor’s degree with 45% marks and having participated in National/Inter University/ State competitions or secured First, Second or third position in Inter Collegiate/ Inter Zonal/ District/School competition in sports and games as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India (v) Bachelor’s degree with participation in International competitions or secured first, second or third position in National/Inter university competitions in sports and games as recognized by respective federations/ AIU/IOA/SGFI/Government of India (vi) Graduation with 45% marks and at least 3 years of Teaching experience (for deputed in-service candidates ie, trained Physical Education Teachers/Coaches)

Applicant should be below the age of 25 years as on 1st July 2021. (born on or after 1st July 1996). Age relaxation will be given as per University rules to eligible categories.

For admission to the MPE Program, applicant should have passed BPE/BPEd/B.Sc(PE) degree from a recognized securing at least 50% marks and should be below 25 years of age as on 1st July, 2021 (born on or after 1st July 1996).

For admission to the PGDHFM Course applicant should have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline with 50% marks from any recognized University in India or Abroad.

The upper age limit for admission to the course will be 30 years on 1st July, 2021 (born on or after 2nd July 1991). Age may be relaxed by five years for in-service teachers.

Age relaxation will be given to eligible categories as per University rules.

Selection will be based on Admission tests to be conducted simultaneously in LNCPE, Thiruvananthapuram, SAI-Imphal, Manipur & Banaras Hindu University (BHU), Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh. Details of the test are given in the Prospectus that can be downloaded from the Admission Page at www.Incpe.gov.in

Application: Applications can be submitted online through the ‘Admission’ page at www.lncpe.gov.in by 6 pm on 15th October 2021.

Application fee of Rs.500 for each course shall be paid online.

After successful submission of the application online, applicant has to take a print of the submitted application and carry the same, along with the documents specified in the Prospectus, when reporting for the Admission Test.
