JRF position at Department of Statistics, Savitribai Phule Pune University

Center of Advanced Studies, Department 0f Statistics, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Formerly University of Pune), has notified one position of Junior Research Fellow under Department of Science & Technology, Science & Engineering Research Board (DST-SERB) funded research project entitled ‘Modelling and Inference for Count Time Series Data’ sanctioned to Dr. Manik Awale, Department of Statistics, Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune-411007.

Applicant should hold M.Sc. (Statistics) with second class having a minimum of 55% marks or overall GPA 6.5 or above out of 10 and CSIR-NET (JRF or Lecturership) or GATE.

Fellowship: Rs 31,000 + HRA admissible per month for the candidate who qualified National Eligibility Test CSIR NET (JRF or Lecturership) or GATE.

If a suitable CSIR-NET/GATE qualified candidate is not found, the post shall be passed on to a suitable candidate who has not qualified CSIR-NET/GATE. Such a candidate will be offered a post of Project Associate-I with the fellowship of Rs. 25000+ HRA admissible per month

The post is purely temporary and co-terminus with the project. The position is initially for one year, extendable up to the duration of the project (February 2025) based on the performance of the candidate.
