Joint Entrance Screening Test 2024 on March 3

Joint Entrance Screening Test (JEST) 2024, a national level examination in Physics and Theoretical Computer Science for selection to PhD and Integrated PhD Programmes in Participating Institutions will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on March 03, 2024 (Sunday) at Centres across the country.
The test scores are used by several institutions to shortlist candidates for PhD and Integrated PhD programmes in Theoretical Computer Science and diverse areas related to Physics (Astronomy & Astrophysics, Atmospheric Sciences, Computational Biology, Condensed Matter Physics, High Energy Physics, Neuroscience, Plasma Research, Quantum Optics, Quantum Information etc.)
The examination will be at the level of MSc or an advanced BSc in Physics or Computer Science, respectively. There are no strict eligibility criteria for appearing in JEST. There is also no restriction on age for appearing in the JEST examination. However, each participating institute has its own eligibility criteria. Each participating institution will follow their own individual eligibility and selection process, based on specific requirements and specialization.
