Short Service Commission course in Indian Navy commencing June 2025

The Indian Navy has invited applications from eligible unmarried men and unmarried women candidates for grant of Short Service Commission (SSC) for course commencing in June 2025 at Indian Naval Academy (INA) Ezhimala, Kerala.
Eligibility Conditions: Applicants must fulfil conditions of nationality as laid down by the Government of India. The positions and educational requirements are as follows: (a) Executive Branch: (i) General Service {GS(X)/ Hydro Cadre}- BE/ B.Tech in any discipline (ii) Pilot - BE/ B.Tech in any discipline (iii) Naval Air Operations Officer (Air Crew) - BE/ B.Tech in any discipline (iv) Air Traffic Controller (ATC) - BE/ B.Tech in any discipline (v) Logistics- BE/ B.Tech in any discipline or MBA or B.Sc/ B.Com/ B.Sc.(IT) along with PG Diploma in Finance / Logistics / Supply Chain Management / Material Management or MCA/ M.Sc (IT) (vi) Naval Armament Inspectorate Cadre (NAIC) -BE/B.Tech in Mechanical / Mechanical with Automation / Electrical / Electrical & Electronics / Electronics / Micro Electronics / Instrumentation / Electronics & Communication / Electronics & Tele Communication /Instrumentation & Control / Control Engineering / Production / Industrial Production / Industrial Engineering / Applied Electronics & Instrumentation/ Electronics & Instrumentation / Information Technology / Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Computer Application / Metallurgy / Metallurgical / Chemical/ Material Science / Aero Space / Aeronautical Engineering OR Post Graduate degree in Electronics / Physics. (b) Education Branch: Education (i) M.Sc. (Maths/ Operational Research) with Physics in B.Sc. (ii) M.Sc. (Physics/ Applied Physics) with Maths in B.Sc. (iii) M.Sc. Chemistry with Physics in B.Sc. (iv) BE/ B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (v) BE/ B.Tech (Electrical/ Electronics & Communication Engg) (vi) M Tech from a recognized University/Institute in any of the following disciplines- (1) M Tech in Thermal/ Production Engineering/ Machine Design (2) M Tech in Communication System Engg/ Electronics & Communication Engg/ VLSI/ Power System Engg. (c) Technical Branch: (1) Engineering Branch {General Service (GS)}-BE/ B.Tech in (i) Mechanical/Mechanical with Automation (ii) Marine (iii) Instrumentation (iv) Production (v) Aeronautical (vi) Industrial Engineering & Management (vii) Control Engg (viii) Aero Space (ix) Automobiles (x) Metallurgy (xi) Mechatronics (xii) Instrumentation & Control (2) Electrical Branch: {General Service (GS)} - BE/ B.Tech in (i) Electrical (ii) Electronics (iii) Electrical & Electronics (iv) Electronics & Communication (v) Electronics & Tele Communication (vi) Tele Communication (vii) Applied Electronics and Communication (AEC) (viii) Instrumentation (ix) Electronics & Instrumentation (x) Instrumentation & Control (xi) Applied Electronics & Instrumentation (xii) Power Engineering (xiii) Power Electronics.

Men and Women are eligible to apply for all streams. The total vacancies, the number of vacancies ear marked for Women, age requirements for each position etc are given in the Notification.
Applicants will be required to fulfil the educational qualification stipulated before joining INA, Ezhimala by June 2025. All SSB recommended candidates would be required to inform their final result of respective degree to Indian Navy at the email ID officer@navy.gov.in prior 20 June 2025.
Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by maximum for 04 years in 02 terms (02 years + 02 years) subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of candidates
Shortlisting of application will be based on normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree.
