Admissions to Para Medical courses under IP Quota at ESIC College Gulbarga

ESIC Para Medical College, Gulbarga (Kalaburagi), Karnataka has invited application for admissions to Para Medical courses for 2024-25 under Insured Persons (IP) Quota- Paramedical (PM).
Courses: (i) Diploma in Medical Record Technology (DMRT) (ii) Diploma in Operation Theatre and Anaesthesia Technology (DOT & AT) (iii) Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT) (iv) Diploma in Medical Imaging Technology (DMIT) (v) Diploma in Ophthalmic Technology (DOT) (vi) Diploma in Health Inspector (DHI).
There are 20 seats for each Program. In each, 16 seats are reserved for wards of Insured Persons.
Eligibility: For admission to Diploma in Medical Records Technology (DMRT), applicant should have passed 10+2 /II PUC or equivalent examination in Arts/Commerce /Science stream. For all other Programs, applicant should have passed 10+2/II PUC or equivalent examination with Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Botany/Zoology.
Selection would be based on the marks obtained in 10+2/equivalent examination and following the reservation principles.
Duration of the course will be 2 years followed by 03 months compulsory Internship.
Bond Conditions: The candidate would be required to serve the ESI Corporation for a period of one year after successful completion of the course. In the event of failure to do so, the candidate would have to pay a sum of Rs. 1,00,000/-. The candidates would have to submit an undertaking to this effect at the time of admission to the course. ESIC may release the candidate from this commitment, based on its need. Candidate would be paid consolidated amount of Rs. 20,610/- p.m. during this period of service.
Eligibility of ‘Insured Person’ for availing the benefit under the Insured Persons’ Quota for his/her child/children would be 31.03.2024. Only a person who is ‘Insured Person’ as per the Act, as on 31.03.2024 would be eligible for availing benefit under the ‘Insured Persons’ Quota for his/her child/children. ‘Insured Person’ means a person who is or was an employee in respect of whom contributions are or were payable under this act and who is by reason thereof, entitled to any of the benefits provided under this Act.
The age of the dependent male ‘Ward of IP’ for eligibility under the ‘Insured Persons Quota’ should not be more than 21 years as on 26th August, 2024. The said date would not apply to dependent unmarried female ward of IP.
Tuition Fee: Tuition fee for the courses would be Rs. 4,000/- per year. Hostel fees (Rs. 10,000 /- per year) and mess charges (actual) would be extra. Any candidate after admission desires to discontinue the course shall pay penalty of Rs. 1000/- to the Paramedical Board and ESIC. Tuition Fee in such cases shall be forfeited.
