# Education Desk

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has asked candidates appearing for the Common University Entrance Test for Postgraduate programmes (CUET PG) 2026 to complete their application process by January 14.

The online application form must be submitted through the official website, exams.nta.nic.in/cuet-pg, no later than 11:50 pm.

Applicants are required to fill in the online form, upload the necessary documents, and pay the prescribed examination fee. NTA has clarified that only candidates who successfully complete the fee payment will be considered as having submitted a valid application. Candidates have also been advised to carefully verify all details before making the payment, as changes will not be allowed after submission.

CUET PG 2026 is scheduled to be conducted in March and will cover 157 subjects. Each paper will have a duration of 90 minutes, and the examination pattern and structure remain unchanged from previous years.

For candidates yet to apply, the registration process involves completing initial registration, filling in personal and academic details, selecting examination city preferences, uploading documents, and making the online fee payment. After submission, candidates must download and retain the confirmation page for future reference.

NTA has also introduced greater flexibility in exam city selection. Applicants can now choose up to four preferred examination cities, all within the state of their permanent or current residence. Candidates who have already submitted their forms will be allowed to modify or add exam city choices during the correction window from January 18 to January 20, 2026, subject to availability.

The update follows a revision in the list of CUET PG examination centres. The total number of centres has been reduced from 312 to 292, with exams set to be held across 272 cities in India and 16 cities abroad. NTA has confirmed that despite changes to exam locations, there is no revision in the subject list or exam pattern for CUET PG 2026.
