CUET PG 2025 applications open: Key details you should know

National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited Online Application Forms for the Common University Entrance Test Post Graduate [CUET (PG) - 2025] for Admission to Postgraduate Programmes in Central Universities and Other Participating Universities / Institutions / Organizations / Autonomous Colleges for 2025-26.

The CUET (PG) provides a single window opportunity to students seeking admission in any of the Central Universities (CUs) or other participating organizations (including State Universities, Deemed and Private Universities) across the Country. 

The Role of NTA is confined to the registration of candidates, the conduct of the test, hosting answer keys, inviting challenges, finalizing Answer Keys, preparing and declaring results, and hosting scorecards. A merit list will be prepared by participating Universities/Organizations. Universities may conduct their individual counselling based on the score card of CUET (PG)-2025 provided by NTA.

CUET (PG) – 2025 will be conducted in the Computer Based Test (CBT) mode. Examination will be conducted on multiple days in 2-3 shifts per day. Schedule and date-sheet will be available on the website in due course.

Applicants have to attend Test Papers at CUET PG 2025, considering his/her eligibility for admission, and the requirements of the University/Course in which the candidate is interested.

Question papers have been classified as (i) Common (22 Questions papers) (ii) Languages (41) (iii) Science (30) (iv) Humanities (26) (v) M.Tech./ Higher Sciences (12) (vi) Acharya (26). The syllabus for Question papers will be available on the NTA Website https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ 

Candidates may select up to four question paper codes from the list provided considering his/her eligibility and courses/Universities of interest.  Each question paper will comprise 75 questions and the duration of each examination will be 90 minutes. Each question carries 04 marks. For each incorrect response, 01 mark will be deducted from the total score. 

Medium of Question Papers: The medium of the Question Paper for CUET (PG)-2025 will be English and Hindi (Bilingual) except for languages, M. Tech/Higher Sciences, and Acharya papers (except Hindu Studies, Baudha Dharshan, and Indian Knowledge System). 

Medium of Language Papers: Language papers will be in the respective language of the subject, except for Linguistics, which will be in English. Acharya Papers will be in Sanskrit, except for the subjects Hindu Studies, Indian Knowledge System, and Baudha Darshan, which will be in English. Papers for Humanities, Sciences, and Common Subjects will be bilingual (English and Hindi). The comprehension section in the General Paper will be available in either English or Hindi, based on the candidate's preference indicated during registration.  

Eligibility: (i) Age Limit: There is no age limit for candidates appearing in the CUET (PG)-2025 examination. But, admission to a university will be subject to compliance with the age criteria, if any, prescribed by that specific university. Candidates may verify the age requirements of the university they wish to apply to before submitting their applications (ii) Educational Qualification: Applicant should have passed a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent examination, or should be appearing in Bachelor’s degree/equivalent examination in 2025. 

Application: Applications can be submitted online at https://exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-PG/ latest by 11.50 pm on 01 February 2025. 

Fee can be paid through Credit / Debit Card / Net-Banking / UPI up to 11.50 pm on 02 February 2025. Correction in Particulars in the online application can be done online during 03 February 2025 and 11.50 pm on 05 February 2025. City of Examination will be announced in the first week of March 2025. Facility for downloading Admit Cards from the NTA website will be available 04 days before the actual date of the examination. Examination will be conducted between 13 March 2025 and 31 March 2025.
