Admissions at National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences Bengaluru
National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Sciences (NIMHANS), Institute of National Importance, Hosur Road, Bengaluru, India - 560 029, has invited applications for admission to various programs for the July Session of the Academic Year 2024-25.
Admission will be made to the following Programs:
Ph.D Programs in Biophysics, Biostatistics, Child & Adolescent Psychiatry, Clinical Neurosciences (Funded by ICMR), Clinical Psychology, Clinical Psychopharmacology and Toxicology, Epidemiology, Public Health, Human Genetics, Integrative Medicine, Mental Health Education, Neuroanaesthesia and Neurocritical Care, Neurochemistry, Neuroimaging and Interventional Radiology, Neurology, Neurological Rehabilitation, Neuromicrobiology, Neuropathology, Neurophysiology, Neurovirology, Nursing, Psychiatric Social Work, Psychiatry, History of Psychiatry, Mental Health Rehabilitation, Psychosocial Support in Disaster Management, Speech Pathology & Audiology.
M.Sc. Courses in (i) Biostatistics (ii) Psychiatric Nursing (iii) Neuroscience Nursing (iv) Yoga Therapy (Mental Health & Neurosciences) (v) Neurosciences (vi) Medical Imaging Technology; M.Phil. in (i) Clinical Psychology (ii) Psychiatric Social Work and Master of Public Health; Fellowship Programs; Postdoctoral Fellowship Programs and Postgraduate Diploma Course.

Age Limit: The age limit for different courses has been indicated under respective sections. Age is calculated as on 01.07.2024 for July Session. Age is relaxable by a maximum of 5 years in the case of SC/ST candidates and by a maximum of 3 years for OBC candidates, for the courses where the seats are reserved for OBC/SC/ST only. Age is relaxable by a maximum of 5 years in the case of PwBD candidate.
Application: Application can be submitted online latest by 16.03.2024 at, https://nimhansonline.in/Student/index.jsp.
One can apply for a maximum of three courses only. The options may be indicated in the application form.
Application fee is Rs.1,500/- per course. It is Rs.1000/- for SC/ST per c0ourse. There is no application fee for PwBD Category.
Entrance Test will be conducted for all courses at NIMHANS, Bengaluru on 25th & 26th May, 2024.
Results for PhD Courses will be announced on 26th May, 2024. Interview & Admission for PhD Programs will be held on 27th & 28th May, 2024.
Results for Courses other than PhD Course will be announced on 04.06.2024. Admission will be on 12.06.2024 and session will commence on 01.07.2024.
