Admissions at M.G.R. Film & Television Institute, Chennai: Application form till August 5

M.G.R. Film and Television Institute, affiliated to The Tamil Nadu Dr.J Jayalalithaa Music and Fine Arts University; C.I.T Campus,Taramani, Chennai - 600 113, has extended the last date for applying to the Bachelor of Visual Arts Courses offered by the Institute for 2022-23. 

Bachelor of Visual Arts Programme of 4 years’ duration is offered in (i) Cinematography (ii) Digital Intermediate (iii) Audiography (iv) Direction and Screenplay Writing (v) Film Editing and (vi) Animation and Visual Effects.

Programs and eligibility are as follows: 

Cinematography; Digital Intermediate - Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) examination with Physics and Chemistry / Vocational Courses with Photography as a special subject /Any equivalent qualification with other specification stated above / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering. 

Audiography - Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) examination with Physics and Chemistry / Vocational Courses with Radio & TV or Domestic electronic equipment as a special subject / Any equivalent qualification with other specification stated above / Diploma in Electrical and Electronics Engineering / Diploma in Electronics and Communication Engineering 

Direction and Screenplay Writing; Film Editing; Animation and Visual Effects - Pass in Higher Secondary (10+2) examination in any group. 

Application: Application Forms and Prospectus can be downloaded from www.tn.gov.in  (Announcements link). The last date for sale of applications has been extended up to 05.08.2022. Separate application should be submitted for each Course.

Filled up applications can be submitted to the Principal (i/c), Tamil Nadu Govt. M.G.R. Film and Television Institute till 5 pm on 12.08.2022.
