Admissions at International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Mumbai

The International Institute for Population Sciences (IIPS) Mumbai, an autonomous Institute under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India and a Deemed to be University has invited applications for admission to the Masters and Research Programs at the Institute for 2022-23.
Programs and eligibility for admission are as follows:
Master of Arts/Science in Population Studies (M.A./M.Sc.): Bachelor’s degree in any subject with a minimum of 55% marks (50% for reserved candidates) of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in all subjects.
Master of Science in Bio-statistics and Demography (M.B.D.): B.A./B.Sc. degree in Bio-statistics or Health Statistics or Mathematics or Statistics or having B.A./B.Sc. degree with two full papers on mathematics or statistics with a minimum of 55% (50% for reserved candidates) of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in all subjects.
For both these Programs of 2 years’ duration, there are 55 Seats each. Applicants should not be over 25 years as on 30.6.2022. Selection will be on the basis of common online entrance tests. Those selected will get a monthly fellowship of Rs.5000/- per month.
Master of Population Studies (M.P.S.): M.A./M.Sc. degree with a minimum of 55% (50% for reserved candidates) of aggregate marks/equivalent grade in the subjects, Anthropology, Bio-statistics, Development Studies, Economics, Geography, Health Statistics, Mathematics, Population Studies, Political Science, Population Education, Psychology, Rural Development, Social Work, Sociology, and Statistics. Those with Master degree in other subjects and having at least 2 years of experience in Population and Health related fields can also apply. Course duration is one year. The upper age limit is 28 years as on June 30, 2022. Fellowship will be Rs.5000/- per month. There are 55 seats. Selection will be on the basis of online entrance test.
Applications have also been invited for admission to Doctor of Philosophy in Population Studies/Biostatistics & Demography (Ph.D); Post-Doctoral Fellowship (P.D.F) and Part-Time Ph.D Programme. Applications can be submitted at the admission link at https://www.iipsindia.ac.in/ by March 30, 2022. Those who have already appeared/ shall be appearing in the final qualifying examinations are eligible to apply subject to furnishing of the final examination results by September 30, 2022.
Processing fee is Rs. 1000/- for General category, Rs. 500/- for OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) and EWS category, and Rs. 250/- for SC/ST/PWD category. Those interested in applying for more than one course should pay application processing fee separately for each course.
Online Entrance Test will be held on May 01, 2022. Details of the structure of the entrance tests are given in the Admission Bulletin.
Last date for submission of hard copy of application for PDF is 30.6.2022.
