Don’t have to tolerate wife’s cruelty, divorce only remedy: Delhi HC

When the wife publicly humiliates the husband by labeling him a womaniser, it is cruelty at its peak. This was expressed by the Delhi High Court, which granted divorce to the husband.

The court observed that there is presence of undeniable evidence substantiating the wife's crooked intentions, as she continuously engaged in baseless accusations, inflicting mental torture upon her husband. In support of the Family Court's decision to grant divorce, the High Court upheld the judgment in favour of the husband.

The initial accusation of impotence was dismissed when the husband willingly underwent a potency test, with the doctor affirming his potency. Despite this, the wife persisted in her efforts to demean him, unleashing a series of baseless allegations. The husband's mental peace shattered, turning his life into an arduous trial by fire.

The High Court questioned the rationale behind subjecting him to such ordeals and observed that divorce was the only remedy to rescue him from the turmoil of a broken marriage.

The wife's actions extended to visiting the husband's office, where she continued to hurl allegations and spread blatant lies about him. The court denounced these unwarranted behaviours as manifestations of a malicious mindset and stressed on the husband's right to live in peace.
