The Skoda Octavia RS 2025 has made its debut in India, with the Czech automaker introducing the fourth-generation performance sedan at an ex-showroom price of ₹49.99 lakh. Positioned below its close rival, the Volkswagen Golf GTI, by roughly ₹92,000, the new Skoda Octavia RS India 2025 arrives as a single fully loaded variant available in five exterior shades.

Bookings for the sedan opened on October 6 for a token amount of ₹2.50 lakh, while deliveries are set to begin on November 6. Early demand suggests the model could soon join the list of Skoda Octavia RS sold out editions seen in the past, given its limited production and cult following among enthusiasts.

Skoda Octavia RS 2025: Engine and performance

Under the bonnet, the Skoda Octavia RS 2025 houses a 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine that produces 261bhp and 370Nm of peak torque — making it the most powerful Octavia to date. This marks a notable upgrade over the previous model’s 241bhp unit.

Power is channelled to the front wheels via a 7-speed DSG automatic transmission, allowing the sedan to sprint from 0–100km/h in a claimed 6.4 seconds, with a top speed capped at 250km/h. The car also comes fitted with a sports exhaust system, although the Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC) feature has been omitted.

Inside, the Skoda Octavia RS 2025 continues its performance theme with an all-black cabin, RS-branded sports seats, a flat-bottomed three-spoke steering wheel, and aluminium pedals. The sedan is loaded with premium technology, including a 12.9-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, three-zone climate control, and an 11-speaker Canton sound system.

Other key Skoda Octavia RS features include powered and heated front seats, Type-C charging ports, and a comprehensive safety package rated five stars by Euro NCAP. It comes equipped with 10 airbags, a 360-degree camera, Electronic Stability Control (ESC), an electronic parking brake with auto hold, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), adaptive cruise control, and park assist.

On the outside, the Skoda Octavia RS 2025 showcases a sportier aesthetic with LED Matrix headlamps, 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels, reworked bumpers, a black rear spoiler, and the signature RS badging. Buyers can choose from five distinct colour options — Mamba Green, Magic Black, Candy White, Race Blue, and Velvet Red.
