XUV 7XO's Pioneering Technology and Features
The XUV 7XO is marketed as India’s first Software Defined Vehicle (SDV) in the internal combustion engine (ICE) category. Its feature set is headlined by five major tech disruptions:
- Experiential Displays: It is the first ICE SUV in India to feature a coast-to-coast 31.24 cm Triple HD screen layout across variants. This is powered by the Adrenox+ system, utilising the Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chipset for high-speed computing.
- Immersive Audio-Visuals: In another first for India, the car integrates Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision within a 16-speaker Harman Kardon audio system.
- Advanced Safety: The XUV 7XO features Level 2 ADAS with Dynamic Visualisation. It is engineered to target a 5-star Bharat NCAP rating and comes equipped with 75 safety features as standard, including 6 airbags and ESP. Higher trims offer up to 120+ safety features, including a 540-degree surround-view camera and driver drowsiness alerts.
XUV 7XO's DAVINCI Suspension
The DAVINCI suspension system, which makes its global debut in the Mahindra XUV 7XO, is a revolutionary valve-based damping technology designed to enhance vehicle dynamics.
The specific capabilities and technical features of this system include:
- Frequency Selective Damping (FSD): The system utilises Frequency Selective Damping to automatically adjust the suspension's response based on the road surface. This allows the vehicle to provide a superlative ride and handling by adapting to different vibration frequencies caused by varying terrain.
- Plush Ride Quality: The primary functional goal of the DAVINCI system is to deliver a ride that is distinctly more plush and settled compared to traditional suspension setups.
- Advanced Hardware Integration: The damping technology works in tandem with a Front McPherson Strut and a Multi-link Rear Independent suspension.
- Enhanced Stability: To ensure the vehicle remains composed during manoeuvres, the system is equipped with a stabiliser bar, which helps manage body roll and maintain balance
XUV 7XO Performance and Design
Under the hood, the XUV 7XO offers two "best-in-segment" engine options: the 2L mStallion TGDi gasoline engine and the 2.2L mHawk turbo-diesel engine. The gasoline manual version is capable of reaching 0–60 km/h in under 5 seconds.
Drivers can choose between three distinct drive modes, Zip, Zap, and Zoom, alongside a custom mode for tailored handling.
Visually, the SUV adopts a "tough-premium" aesthetic. The design philosophy, led by Chief Design & Creative Officer Pratap Bose, focuses on an athletic presence and sophisticated refinement.
Exterior Features:
- Front Profile: An imposing all-new piano-black grille featuring "jewel-like talon accents" and Bi-LED projector headlamps with DRLs.
