Guruvayur temple gets dedicated EV charging stations for pilgrims

Guruvayur: Electric vehicle users visiting Guruvayur Temple, one of Kerala’s busiest pilgrimage destinations, can now access dedicated charging facilities. The charging infrastructure has been set up by Bangalore-based company Bolt Earth.
The new deployment aims to serve the growing number of EV users travelling to the temple town, with a mix of chargers designed to support both short-range and long-distance mobility.
The setup includes 3.3 kW standard sockets for e-rickshaws and two-wheelers, and 7 to 11 kW AC fast chargers for four-wheelers.
The chargers are integrated with a mobile app, allowing users to locate, pay for, and operate the units from their smartphones.
According to the company, the chargers are supported by 24/7 customer service and remote monitoring, and have recorded no hardware failures since installation.
Bolt Earth operates a nationwide network of over 38,000 EV charging points across 1,800 cities, catering to more than 275,000 users.
