Two-year old's hearing aid stolen from Train; parents in distress

Niyasree, daughter of Rajesh from Peralasseri of Kannur, underwent cochlear implantation only three months ago. As she started hearing sounds, Niya had begun uttering words and calling her parents. On February 2, when Niya and mother Ajitha were travelling in the Chennai-Egmore Express for further treatment at Kozhikode Medical College, the bag which carried the hearing equipment was lost. As the parents cannot afford to buy another hearing aid that would cost them Rs 4 lakhs, they are awaiting the return of their daughter's lost apparatus.
