This grandma is a walking library @ 73

For the 73-year-old Umadevi Antharjanam hailing from Budhannoor near Chengannur, a day starts early in the morning.  After completing her household chores, she gets into her routine walk.

Umadevi is the ‘field librarian’ at Budhannoor Kalaposhini Library.  With books stuffed in her shoulder bag and an umbrella in one hand, Umadevi walks for about 4 to 5 kilometers a day just to deliver library books to houses. The reason - for the love of reading.
