Married women find their names removed from voters list

A group of girls from Chengottukavu panchayat in Kozhikode have claimed that their names have been removed from the voters list after they got married. These girls have been listed as natives of Chengottukavu in all their certificates and they spent most of their time in their own homes. However as per the voters list, they are living in their husband’s place.
This is a new trend in which the names of girls are removed from the voters list if the authorities do not know who they are voting for. This will be crucial in the LSG Poll, where each is extremely important.
