KSRTC' s mourning procession with damaged buses on hartal day

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation staged a mourning procession carrying the buses which damaged in the stone pelting. The KSRTC employees led by KSRTC MD Tomin J Thachankary participated in the procession from KSRTC headquarters to Palayam on Thursday here. 23 KSRTC buses which destructed in stone pelting were taken for the procession. The employees carried the posters requesting ‘Don’t pelt stones at ‘aanavandi’. KSRTC bus is popular as ‘Aanavandi’ in the state.KSRTC Managing Director Tomin Thachankary told reporters that more than100 buses were damaged causing a loss of Rs 3.35 crore to the debt-ridden public sector undertaking.
