Meet the globetrotting man on a bicycle
Mathews Saraic had only one thing to prove to the world. That money is never a constraint when it comes to travelling. He set off the journey from London on a cycle.
Mathews, a Polish graphic designer for the past eleven years, decided to travel the world. After seven months he reached Kozhikode.
According to Mathews, Iranians are the most hospitable persons and had the congenial nature to host him in their own houses. While in Kozhikode, he stayed at small and beautiful house in Pavangad.
In Pakistan, there are restrictions to walk freely and hence was always accompanied by police.
“Apart from the created differences and borders there is no difference between Indians and Pakistanis,” says Mathews.
Kerala is like heaven for a European. But I am not sure whether Keralites recognise their uniqueness as it is part of their daily life. I was scared to come to India as it is the land of vast culture and language varieties. I have totally toured south India. My next aim is northern Meghalaya, he said.
Mathews, who completes 80 kms per day, is on a mission to reach Australia before the winter season.
